There are several methods, using which you can remove the words of the videos. In what follows, some of these approaches are proposed.
A number of video editors are used by people to achieve this purpose. However, before the video editor is used, you should download the video that you want to erase the words off from TikTok. In order to download a TikTok video, you can use the PokoTik downloader tool.
Using Pokotik downloader tool for downloading videos from TikTok
Using this tool is straightforward and simple; by following these steps, you can download the video and it would be available on your hard disk or internal memory.

2. Open the video you want to download from TikTok.
3. Click on the Share button on the upper side of the video.
4. Click the copy link option.
5. Enter the main page of the Pokotik website in your browser.
6. Paste the link you copied inside the search box

After some time, your video is downloaded and you can access it and watch it whenever you desire.
Now that you have your desired video on your hard disk, all that is left is to find a proper video editor tool that has the ability to remove words from the video. The tool that is introduced here is Movavi Video Suite 2020. There are three different ways to erase or remove the words off of the video using Movavi. In what comes next, these ways are explained.
How to remove text displayed in a video using Movavi
The three ways using which you can get rid of the text on your TikTok video using Movavi Video Suite 2020 are cropping the text, blurring it, and replacing the text area. Depending on your goal and why you are trying to remove the text, you can use any of these three approaches that you like.
Cropping the text
The first method, which is the easiest, is to crop the written area out. Although this is the easiest method and perfect for removing especially logos, it is not always useful. This technique is only ideal when the logo or the text is on the corner or near the edges of the video. If the text is presented in the middle of the video this method is not the best option. Moreover, as a part of the video would be cropped out with the text, make sure that that part of the video is not important and is not considered necessary.
Following these steps, you would be able to crop the text out:
- Open Movavi Video Suite 2020
- Choose “edit video” from the home screen
- In the “import” box, click on “add files” in order to import the TikTok videos you want to the timeline of the project. Be careful, you have to download them on your hard disk from TikTok before importing them.
- Select the video clip that you want to edit from the timeline.
- Click on the crop icon which is in the toolbar above the timeline to remove the part with the text.
- The selected video is shown in the preview area with a rectangular overlay around it. You can resize or adjust the overlay by dragging it using the mouse. Adjust the overlay in a way that excludes the text area.
- Sometimes black bars appear around the video. You can crop the black bars the same way you cropped out the text area if you do not want them.
- Click on “apply”.
- Click on “export” to export the video.
Using this method, you can crop the written area. The problem with this method is that cropping lowers the resolution and as a result, affects the quality of the video. So, if your video is not of high quality, the result may not be very good. Make sure to use this approach on high-quality videos.
Blurring the text
In case your video is not a good candidate for cropping, blurring could be a good option. If the text is located near the middle of the video, which makes it impossible to crop out, blurring is the substitute choice, as it does not affect the video significantly.
Following these steps, you would be able to blur the text area (or any area you want to blur):
- Open Movavi Video Suite 2020
- Choose “edit video” from the home screen
- In the “import” box, click on “add files” in order to import the TikTok videos you want to the timeline of the project. Again, be careful, you have to download them on your hard disk from TikTok before importing them.
- Select the video clip that you want to edit from the timeline.
- Click on the “more” icon which is in the toolbar which is under the menu bar, on the left side of the screen.
- More video editing icons are shown on the screen once you click on the ‘More’ icon.
- Click on ‘Highlight and Conceal’ to hide text displayed in a video by blurring it.
- Switch to the ‘Conceal’ tab.
- There will be a rectangular overlay in the preview window. Resizing and changing the position of the overlay, you can cover the text in the video. That part will become blurred and the text will not be seen.
- You can choose from Blur and Matte options, which let you change the opacity and featuring of the video, and Pixels, which lets you choose the size of the pixels covering the words on the video.
- Click on “apply”.
- Click on “export” to export the video.
Keep in mind, using the “add mask” choice in the “highlight and conceal” tab you can blur multiple areas of the video. The main purpose of blurring is hiding people’s identities in public videos.
Replacing the text area
The last method discussed here is replacing the text area in the video. While it is not suggested for large areas of text, it is very useful in hiding the text in small areas, which are good candidates for cropping out. Using Movavi Video Suite 2020, you can replace the text area with another video or image.
Following these steps, you would be able to replace the text area:
- Open Movavi Video Suite 2020
- Choose “edit video” from the home screen
- In the “import” box, click on “add files” in order to import the TikTok videos you want to the timeline of the project. In this step, you have to add the video or image you want to use as a replacement as well.
- Drag the replacing image or video to the TikTok video you whose text you want to cover. Once you do that, the overlay track will appear on the video.
- Ensure that the length of the replacing video matches the length of your TikTok video.
- Double click on “clip properties”.
- Click on the “picture in picture” option in the “overlay” tab. You will be able to remove the text in the video.
- In the preview area, the target video would be in the background while the replacing video will appear over it. You can change the size, adjustment and place of the covering video to cover the text that you want to remove.
- Apply the changes.
- Click on “export” to export the video.
Based on your aim, your TikTok video, and the place and size of the text that you want to remove, you can use any of the three methods above. Using these techniques, you can a video with its text removed simply and without difficulty.
