But the question is: How Many People In Tiktok Get More Than A Million Views On Their Videos?
The answer to this question is not specified as not only is TikTok very conservative about its statistics but also it never publishes any information on that issue. Not only was TikTok very popular among iPhone users, but also it was well-liked by android users. Maybe even more popular among android users since it reached the number one most downloaded app globally at 850 million. The remarkable point is that the most monthly download of TikTok happened in March 2020, with the start of the COVID-19 lockdown.
Available in 75 Languages
TikTok is now officially an international application as it is available in 75 languages. Considering that Instagram is available in only 32 languages, TikTok is far beyond that level. Although Facebook is available in 111 languages, it should be mentioned that Facebook appeared more than 15 years ago, while TikTok has just been available since 2016.
2.6 Billion installations worldwide
To date, TikTok has been installed on more than 2.6 billion devices all over the world. It passed its 1-billion milestone in February 2019 and its 2-billion milestone in April 2020. However, nowadays and after the COVID-19 lockdown, more and more older people are interested in using TikTok. As Pew Research data suggests, during the first months of 2021, more than 40 percent of TikTok users in the US were older than 30.
Amusingly enough, statistics in China suggest that the users are aging with the App: the number of users aged below 30 has decreased from 2019 while the number of users aged 30 -35 has increased about five percent until 2020 and made up 20.6 percent of the users. Unlike the USA, there was not a very significant increase in the percentages of all other older age groups.
69 percent of USA teenagers are regular TikTok users
TikTok seems to keep its users as they age, but it still has the most appeal for teenagers. Fall 2020 Survey shows that although Snapchat is still the most popular social media among American teenagers, TikTok has surpassed Instagram and is now the number one most downloaded social media app among American teenagers as 69 percent of US teenagers are regular TikTok users. Moreover, 29 percent of US teenagers claim that TikTok is their favorite social media platform.
